Buying first Burton Snowboard/Bindings - Grey area sizing question?
Hey, I've had a couple week long boarding trips over spring break etc, and I've really enjoyed it. And I'm taking off next year from school to work the ski lifts, snowboard, and just enjoy myself while I kind of recalibrate my life. I figured I ought to buy some better gear now during the end of winter sale. I've currently got a pair of size 8 Salomon boots which are really nice, I bought them new. But my board and bindings are pretty garbage. I was thinking about getting a pair of Burton bindings to use with my Salomon board at first, which isn't that bad its just heavily used. I inevitably want to get a Burton Hero board though, to ride switch and do park. If I buy a pair of Burton bindings with EST, is there an adaptor for me to use them with my Salomon until I get a Burton with Channel? Next question, Burton bindings are sized Small is like boot size 6-8, Medium is boot size 8-12. My boots are size 8. I initially thought I should get the Small bindings so I can cinch them tighter for more control, but I noticed the Burton board I wanted was sized for Medium-Large bindings. However, I found a really good binding with EST on sale 50% off; and the only size left is small. Will this be a problem? Most importantly, I'm 5'6 and a 149 cm board is perfect for me. However the weight rating on it is for 90-140lbs. I weigh 139 naked, and will likely get up to 145-150 max naked from weight lifting. Should I get the 152 cm board instead? Its rated for heavier people. I don't want to buy a new board then break it because I'm too heavy. But I like the colors and size of the 149 way more, not so stoked for the yellow 152. Oh, one other thing, mid-wide sized boards are recommended for size 10-15 boots. And, of course, I'm size 8. Will I notice any difference here? Should I try to find a regular? I really appreciate it guys, I don't have a lot of money to spend. So i'm really trying to make my money go far. idk guy does not know Keith you rock man I really appreciate it.

No EST bindings only work with the channel system on burton boards but all burton bindings work on boards with the channel. The size 8 will fit into a small binding. A mid-wide board will be heavier with out the need for it you can look for a regular board if you want but, the amount of added weight is not that great and will not make that much of a difference. Also only being 10 pounds over the recommended rating will not be harmful to the board you will be fine.

Steezy Snowboard Outfit?
I just bought the 2009 Lib Tech Skate Banana yellow and green, the Burton P1.1 black bindings and black thirtytwo ultralight boots. was given a longsleeve libtech black and green tee and beanie, the gold and white forum grudge glove, a green and yellow 686 rangers camo cap. I wanted to get the Neff Sessions studio white jacket, and the Neff Sessions white denim pants, would it be stylish an flow with the accessories and set up? Need opinions! thanks!! I've been riding for 2 years, not an expert by any means, not too stylish saavy, so that's where helps needed, p.s. got the banana and boots for 350 bucks, somebody made a mistake and didn't charge me, haha.

just remember, match the banana and the banana will be happy. good call on the board.
